A Correlational Study on Representational Abilities and Mathematical Connections in Junior High School

Mathematical representation and connection ability are part of the student's ability. Because their low ability, educators will find it difficult to determine learning tools in classroom. Therefore, finding a link between two abilities is necessary make easier for teachers prepare lessons. This study aims relationship representational students' mathematical connections. The population this were all grade eight students at state junior high school Merbau Mataram, with total sample 34 selected using class random sampling technique. research instrument was test six questions. Data analysis used correlation coefficient Pearson/Product Moment formula. results showed significant overall connection. means that directly proportional higher vice versa. Teachers can focus on preparing one these abilities.
